Competition Shooters

Competition Shooters: Champions of the Range

Competitive shooters push the limits of speed and accuracy, and the techniques they develop often find their way into everyday training, law enforcement instruction and self-defense classes. From Wild West exhibition shooters to Olympic medalists and practical shooting world champions, these athletes also show the public what disciplined, safe and skilled firearm handling looks like, and many have used their platform to speak up for the Second Amendment.

Minuteman University.com currently lists 38 competition shooters below, arranged roughly by birth year from the 1860s to the 1980s. The list covers exhibition and fast-draw shooters, Olympic and collegiate champions, practical shooting pioneers and today’s professional shooters and instructors. Each profile records the shooter’s titles, records and contributions.
