About Blue Force Gear
Blue Force Gear (BFG) is a privately held maker of slings, pouches, plate carriers and load-carrying equipment, founded in January 2004 and headquartered in Pooler, Georgia, near Savannah. The company is best known for the Vickers Combat Applications Sling (VCAS), a two-point, quick-adjust rifle sling developed together with Larry Vickers, a former U.S. Army 1st SFOD-Delta operator and well-known firearms trainer. BFG also developed lightweight load-bearing concepts such as its laser-cut MOLLEminus attachment platform, Ten-Speed elastic magazine pouches and ULTRAcomp laminate, all aimed at cutting weight and bulk from fighting gear.
For civilian shooters, the Vickers Sling became one of the most common slings seen on AR-15s and other carbines, and BFG remains a familiar name in the training and competition world.
