About Sundance Industries

Sundance Industries was a Valencia, California, maker of inexpensive pocket pistols founded in 1989 by Steven Jennings, a nephew of Raven Arms founder George Jennings. Raven Arms, founded in 1970, is often described as the original company in the group of Southern California handgun makers later nicknamed the “Ring of Fire,” a cluster of related firms that produced low-cost, small-caliber pistols during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. Sundance was one of several companies in that group with family ties to the Jennings name.

Sundance produced compact .25 ACP and .22 LR pocket pistols closely modeled on Raven Arms and Jennings designs, built from injection-molded Zamak alloy, and it offered versions with built-in laser sights. Pistols of this type were sold at low prices and appealed to buyers seeking an affordable, easily concealed handgun, and they were frequent targets of gun-control legislation aimed at so-called Saturday night specials. Sundance Industries ceased operations in 2002, and its pistols are now found mainly on the used market and in collections of American pocket pistols.
