About Joshua G. Prince
Joshua G. Prince is a Pennsylvania attorney whose practice is devoted largely to firearms law and Second Amendment litigation. He serves as Chief Counsel of the Firearms Industry Consulting Group, the firearms practice of Prince Law Offices, P.C., a firm based in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania, with offices across the state. The group advises individual gun owners, federally licensed dealers, gun clubs and ranges on state and federal compliance, FFL licensing, gun trusts, background check denial appeals and the defense of alleged firearms violations. He has also handled civil rights litigation through the Civil Rights Defense Firm, P.C.
For gun owners, his best-known work involves holding government agencies accountable for how they treat license holders. He represented the class in John Doe v. Monroe County, a suit over the county’s improper disclosure of private information belonging to License to Carry Firearms applicants. After roughly six years of litigation the case produced a $4 million settlement fund, and in April 2021 the Firearms Policy Foundation announced it had received the remaining undistributed funds.
