About Tiffany Johnson
Tiffany Johnson is an attorney, firearms instructor and writer who has become a leading voice for welcoming new and non-traditional gun owners into the shooting community. She has taught firearms since 2002 and holds instructor credentials in pistol, shotgun and personal protection, along with Rangemaster instructor certifications. She is also certified by Tennessee and Mississippi to teach handgun carry permit courses, and she teaches newer students through Citizens Safety Academy.
Johnson began as a student at Rangemaster in Memphis under founder Tom Givens and moved into instructor development there. She is closely tied to the annual Rangemaster Tactical Conference, one of the most respected gatherings of firearms trainers in the country, where she has handled much of the behind-the-scenes support. Outside the range, she is a practicing attorney licensed in Tennessee and Mississippi, runs a legal research and writing business and has coordinated the Legal Studies Program at the University of Memphis. Her blog, Front Sight Press, addresses non-traditional firearm owners, and she designs instructional materials and websites for firearms instructors. She remains active as an instructor and conference contributor in 2026.
