Gun owners have a voice that fights for them in Missouri Firearms Coalition

About Missouri Firearms Coalition
The Missouri Firearms Coalition is a state-level gun rights group that describes itself as a “no-compromise” organization and a more aggressive alternative to the NRA. It is led by brothers Aaron, Chris and Ben Dorr, whose family has started similar groups in Iowa, Georgia and other states, and Aaron Dorr serves as its director. The group is known for its direct mail, social media campaigns and involvement in Republican primaries, and it has clashed both with state law enforcement associations and with some longtime gun rights activists who have criticized its tactics.
The coalition was a vocal backer of Missouri’s Second Amendment Preservation Act (SAPA), signed by Governor Mike Parson in 2021, which declared certain federal gun restrictions invalid in the state and allowed fines of up to $50,000 against agencies that enforced them. A federal judge blocked the law in 2023, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed that ruling in August 2024, and the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear Missouri’s appeal in 2025. In 2026 the coalition was backing Senate Bill 858, which its director described as restoring SAPA-style protections.
