About CT Firearms Auction
CT Firearms Auction is a Connecticut auction house that specializes in antique, collectible and modern firearms consigned from private collections and estates. It is co-owned by firearms specialist Tom Selmont and auction director Ryan Brechlin, who met in 2016 while handling an estate with a large firearms collection and opened the business in 2017. Selmont brought about a decade of gun sales and acquisition experience, including founding CT Gun Broker in 2015. Brechlin is a Connecticut auctioneer and appraiser with more than 20 years in the trade, previously lead auctioneer at Nest Egg Auctions, with over 500 auctions to his credit.
The company now lists its headquarters at 8 Metals Drive in Plantsville, near Hartford, with additional offices in New York City and Boston. It holds federal, state and municipal dealer licenses, and it sells through live and online auctions, buys collections outright, and provides probate, estate and insurance appraisals. Guns are shipped insured and only to eligible buyers or licensed dealers. For gun owners in a strict-law state like Connecticut, a licensed auction house offers a compliant way to settle an estate or sell a collection.
