About Flux Defense
Flux Defense is an American accessory maker known for turning duty-size handguns into compact, shoulder-supported personal defense weapons without changing the pistol’s serialized part. The company first made its name in 2019 with the Flux Brace, a quick-deploying brace system for the Glock 17 and similar Glock pistols. Later that year it unveiled the MP17, later sold as the FLUX Raider, a chassis for the SIG Sauer P320 and M17. Because the P320’s serialized fire control unit is the legal “firearm,” owners can drop it into the Raider housing along with the original slide and barrel, gaining a spring-loaded brace, a red-dot mount, a forward grip that stores a spare magazine and a holster-compatible footprint.
Flux’s products attracted strong interest from concealed carriers, home defenders and law enforcement buyers, and were often sold in small batches that sold out quickly. They also sat squarely in the debate over braced pistols: ATF’s 2023 pistol brace rule was vacated by a federal court in June 2024, and the Justice Department dropped its appeal in 2025.
